We have a position open for a Software QA Engineer experienced in manual testing and have some exposure/ or experience with automated test tools. The successful candidate must be excited about quality, able to function independently, and willing to work in other areas of Quality Assurance as necessary. Experience working with an Agile development methodology and web based applications is a plus. Previous testing experience and understanding of Best Practices and principles of testing are required for this position.

Position: Software QA Engineer

Location - Bangalore Karnataka, India           Nature of Job -  Full time

       Primary Duties:

• Participate in creating  test plans
• Create test scenarios, test cases for various phases and types of testing
• Prepare test data and test environment to execute the test cases
• Report regular status of testing
• Record and track defects through tools
• Collect test metrics to measure the quality of product
• Communicate with all the key stakeholders on  the progress of various product deliverables
• Assist  Leads and Managers in preparing quality guidelines, checklists, and templates to improve the quality of the products and the processes
• Should be able to take ownership and drive end to end testing activities
• Should be able to mentor/guide other team members
• Support Quality Assurance department initiatives across product portfolio
• Basic knowledge on automation in any of the programming lanuages-Preferred Selenium with JAVA
• Good to have knowledge on the performance/Load testing preferrably JMeter

        Additional Duties:

Script for improving process efficiency in areas such as infrastructure management, configuration management, etc.

Assist engineering team in troubleshooting or resolving scalability/performance issues across products

Prepare/Suggest  “Key Lessons Learned”  documents to improve the quality of the products   

        Required Skills :

• 3-4 years of experience in Quality Assurance
• Strong application of manual testing techniques with excellent understanding of best practices and principles of software testing
• Experience with various testing methodologies
• Experience testing Web-based applications (preferably single page)
• Good knowledge of SE/SDLC/STLC/Agile, test/QA methodology & processes, and concepts
